Recently I got request for momos recipe when I posted momos chutney. So posting this easy to make snack recipe.

for outer cover
- maida – 1 cup
- water – 2 – 3 tablespoon
- oil – 1/2 teaspoon
- salt – to taste
for stuffing
- carrot- 1/4 cup, finely chopped
- cabbage – 1/2 cup, finely chopped
- beans – 1/3 cup, finely chopped
- garlic – 2 cloves
- spring onion – 3 – 4 sprigs
- black pepper powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- soya sauce – 1 teaspoon
- salt – to taste
- oil – 1 tablespoon

1.Add all-purpose flour, salt, oil in a bowl. Mix well with your fingers. Slowly add water little by little and knead it to a soft firm dough.
2. Cover and keep it aside for 30 – 40 minutes.

3. Heat oil in a pan. When the oil is hot enough, add finely chopped garlic and saute till the raw smell goes off.
4. Add finely chopped spring onion white and saute well for a few seconds.
5. Add finely chopped vegetables, and saute well on high flame. Saute for 8 – 10 minutes. Keep stirring so that they don’t get burnt.
6. Add chopped spring onion green, saute well. Add soya sauce, pepper powder, salt. Mix well. Don’t add too much of salt, as we have added soya sauce.
7. Turn off the flame and allow the mixture to come to room temperature.

8. Take the dough, and knead it once more for 2 – 3 minutes. Pinch out small lemon sized balls and keep it aside.
9. Take one ball, dust it with flour. Roll it into small circles of 3 – 4 inches in diameter. It should not be too thick or too thin.
10. Place one tablespoon of filling at the center of the circle. Don’t overstuff as it would be difficult to get a neat shape.
11. From one end, start making pleats. Continue this process and at the end join all the pleats at the center and seal at the top.
12. Prepare all the momos in the same way and keep them covered using a damp cloth to avoid drying.
13. Heat water in a steamer or pressure cooker. Grease a steamer plate and place the prepared momos dumplings leaving a little space between them.
14. When the water begins to boil, place the steamer plate inside the steamer and steam cook for 5 – 6 minutes. Don’t overcook.
15. Serve veg momos with red chili garlic sauce.
