sunnundalu is prepared with urad dal and is very easy to make. It is a traditional Andhra special recipe which can be stored in an air-tight container for at least 2 weeks. All the ingredients used for making this sweet is very healthy. Here, I have used sugar, but for a healthier version you can use jaggery or palm sugar.
One of the main thing to be taken care of while making sunnundalu is that the urad dal should be roasted well in a low-medium flame till it reaches golden brown in color.

- urad dal – 1 cup
- sugar – 1/2 cup
- ghee – 1/3 cup
- cardamom – 4
how to make sunnundalu recipe
1. Dry roast urad on a hot tawa in a medium flame until it turns golden brown. Keep aside to cool it completely.
2. Transfer the roasted dal to a mixer jar and grind it to a fine powder. Transfer it to a plate.
3. Add sugar along with cardamom pops to a mixer jar. Grind it to a fine powder. Mix the powdered sugar into the ground dal.
4. Now melt ghee in a pan.
5. Add the melted ghee to the dal and sugar mixture, mix well. Take small pinches of the mixture and roll it into balls.
6. urad dal ladoo is ready.
