carrot paneer momos recipe – easy momos with paneer filling.
momos are a hot favorite amongst all these days as they are healthy and tasty at the same time. So adding a little color and taste with vegetables, and stuffed with paneer & nuts for extra deliciousness.
momos with paneer stuffing is very easy to prepare. I have added besan and carrot mixture to all-purpose flour while making the dough for momos to make it healthy and colorful. But you make normal dough with all-purpose flour alone and paneer filling.
In the paneer filling, no additional masalas are added, but if you prefer it to be spicy add little red chili powder.

how to make carrot paneer momos recipe
to make paneer stuffing for momos
1.Heat butter in a pan. Add ginger garlic and saute for a few seconds till the raw smell of ginger garlic and green chili goes off completely.
2. To this add chopped pistachios, boiled corn, grated paneer, salt and give it a quick stir. Turn off the flame. (You can also add finely chopped onion, turmeric powder, red chili powder, for an extra taste, but I didn’t add any). The stuffing for momos is ready. Keep aside.

3. Add maida or all-purpose flour, besan or gram flour, salt and butter in a pan. Mix it well with your fingers. It will resemble bread crumbs.
4. To this add carrot paste, and mix well. Knead it well to make a soft, firm dough. You don’t have to add extra water as carrots have enough water. If necessary, sprinkle a little water and knead well to make a dough. Keep the dough aside covered for 10 to 15 minutes.
5. Take out the dough, and knead it once more. Divide the dough into equal sized balls. Take each ball, dust it with flour and roll it into small circles.
6. Place paneer mixture at the center. Don’t overstuff as it would be difficult to get a neat shape.
7. From one end start making pleats. Continue this process and at the end join all the pleats at the center and seal at the top. Or you can give different shapes.
8. Prepare all the momos in the same way and keep them covered with a damp cloth to avoid drying.
9. Heat water in a steamer or in a pressure cooker. Place the prepared momos carefully on the greased steamer plate. Leave a little space between each of the momos so that they do not stick to each other.
10. When the water begins to boil, place the steamer plate inside the steamer and steam cook for 15 minutes in medium flame. Don’t overcook.
11. Serve momos with red chili garlic sauce or white dipping sauce.
